World Outreach

Famous Last Words...
They were Jesus' last words. Important words he
saved for last so they would be etched on his followers' hearts.
"Go into all the world and make
disciples of all nations…"
|
We are all beneficiaries of that command. And so Trinity takes it
seriously. Our commitment to world outreach started over 50 years
ago when Trinity supported one family working in Ethiopia. Today,
Trinity partners with over 40 individuals and ministries serving
on 5 continents.
Currently, our partnerships fall within several general categories
of ministry:
- Church Planting - direct involvement
in evangelism and discipleship
- Leadership Development - training Christian
leaders around the world to build up the church in their home
country
- Mobilization and Research - strategic
planning: discovering how best to reach different cultures and
subcultures with the gospel of Christ
- Bible Translation - million people
still do not have the Bible in their primary language
- Mercy and Justice - demonstrating the
love of God through holistic ministries, including medical ministries,
social services and justice ministries
- North American Evangelism - in the
post-modern age, the emerging generation is a mission field
We also believe that cross-cultural experiences designed to impact
both the sending and receiving groups are vital. Three such experiences
are planned for 2006. A group of engineers from Trinity went to
Ethiopia in mid-March to design water systems with our partners
there. In June a group of collegians and adult leaders will lead
a Vacation Bible School for children in Romania. And in July a group
from Trinity will go to Ethiopia, some visiting our partners there
while others teach English to Bible students.
