These are
comments made by women whose lives are being transformed each week at
Trinity. So what is this life-changing ministry?
MOPS is a support group for mothers with infants through kindergartners. It
is a place to come to feel valued and to discover how to become a better
wife, mother and friend. Mothers with young children have many unique
struggles -- isolation, helplessness, and fatigue, to name a few. MOPS seeks
to meet those needs by providing a time for women to hear godly speakers, to
discuss their feelings and frustrations, to complete a craft, and to build
friendships. All this happens while their children are being cared for in a
loving environment.
When MOPS began at Trinity in 1996, the planning committee prayed that it
would eventually reach out into the community. Since its inception, MOPS has
touched the lives of over 200 women and 300 children. In fact, the Thursday
morning group had grown so large that a Tuesday evening group was added last
year! Lives are being changed weekly as mothers learn to give God control of
themselves and their families. Many members at Trinity have become involved
at MOPS not only as participants, but as speakers, mentors, storytellers,
and teachers. We would love your involvement as well.
